Nebraska Medicaid Application Information

The Nebraska Medical Assistance Program (Nebraska Medicaid) is a joint project of the state and the Federal government that provides medical assistance for eligible individuals and members of their households. Once a person qualifies for Medicaid, he/she will receive an ID card that he/she must carry at all times in order to avail of a wide variety of medical services from authorized health providers. Screening and diagnostic services, prescribed medications, nursing home services, psychological and substance abuse treatment are among the services offered by the said program.

The Nebraska Medical Assistance Program aims to provide zero to low-cost health care services for households whose total incomes fall below the poverty level. Once approved, the member will receive an ID card which has his/her name on it as well as the other eligible members of his/her household.
